Linda Walker (mother of Dru Sjodin) will present, “Losing Dru – A Mother’s Journey.” in Bismarck on October 26 at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel.

First Lady Mikey L. Hoeven and North Dakotans Partnering for Women’s Health are hosting the 2009 Women’s Health Summit.

Linda will speak about the abduction and murder of her daughter, Dru, gave Linda insight into a world where unthinkable evil targeting our country’s youth existed. She knew she had a choice to make: succumb to depression and hide her head under a pillow or step up, become proactive and do what she could to make a change.

“This summit is an opportunity to arm the women in our state with the most up-to-date information regarding women’s health issues,” said Hoeven. “Participants will walk away with tangible, educational tools to implement into their lives in the areas of surviving breast cancer, nutrition, menopause and much more.”
